The final presentation about recycling cardboard has got me thinking about other projects similar to this I have come across during my Exploration in Practice research and previous design projects.
The first is David Stark's use of cardboard boxes to create items of furniture to sell alongside other items within a store. The second was the use of cardboard to create the interior of the Magma Bookstore in London, the cardboard was used for shelving, counters and display stands.
I am quite keen to use recycled materials within my design project and cardboard may be a very useful material for the interior of the installation piece as it is easy to mould and shape and can be replaced cheaply if it gets damaged.
