I've been doing a bit of thinking about what the brief actually requires us to achieve...
If we do head towards the area "value of art and design within public art" then I think we would need to become a 'arts company' and plan/design an installation/public art project to express our views. As a group we would need to be allocated different tasks ie. applying for funding, design of project, marketing, and securing a site.
However if we were to look at the commercial side of art then we could approach the project in a similar way, but first identifying a client, with a campaign that needed marketing. Again, I feel we would each have to take on different roles within the project, maximising our design and management strengths.
It will be interesting to see what the group discusses tomorrow...
